CLF2.0 Consulting and Certification
It's no secret: CLF2.0 has a bad rap.
CLF2.0 is the Canadian Government Web Accessibility Standard as maintained by the Treasury Board Secretariat. Version 2.0 of the "Common Look and Feel" documentation was released in mid 2006, with a compliance deadline of Dec 31, 2008. Version 1.0 was more about Official Languages and Browser Interoperability, released during the "old-school" days of the Browser Wars.
With careful planning, a refresher on valid CSS2.1 and XHTML1.0 or 1.1 standards, and a look at how to add rich media and Javascript that degrades to a native text-based format, CLF2.0 can indeed be your friend. Validate the pages on this web site, you'll see they all conform to the latest XHTML1.1 standard, a level higher than what CLF2.0 requires.
